Wedding at Lodgecliffe!

No, it wasn't mine;
but I did get to dance with the lovely daughters of the bride and groom.
(I think she likes me!)

Oatmeal With Dark Chocolate and Cranberries

Today, I made cookies!
I will give you my twenty step instructions so that you can make them too!
1. Wash your hands.
(I like to sing the ABC's to be sure I do a good job!)
2. Read your recipe.
3. Assemble your ingredients.
4. Whisk together your dry ingredients.
(flour, baking soda, salt and nutmeg)
5. Melt your butter.
6. Combine your sugars ...
(Brown sugar sometimes needs a good smack!)
7. with the butter.
8. Scrape down the bowl.
9. Add eggs and vanilla.
10. Add the dry ingredients to the wet.
11. Don't overmix!
12. Stir in the oats, chocolate and cranberries.
13. Lick the spoon!
14. Refridgerate the dough for at least ten minutes.
15. Clean up your mess!
16. Once the dough is cooled, form it into balls.
17. Place the balls onto cookie sheets.
(We freeze some for later and bake some right away!)
18. Bake the cookies for about 13 minutes at 350 degrees.
(Make sure an adult uses the oven!)
19. Let the cookies cool!
20. ENJOY!!!!!

Better Now!

I'm sorry that it's been so long since I have blogged,
but I've been pretty sick since Halloween.
I'm feelin' good enough to dance now, so I thought I'd post some pics.
My old bedroom on the third floor is now a playroom so Kai, Val and I play up there a lot.
(I am sharing a bedroom with Kai now.)
Miss Val sure likes the attention!
Here I am playing dress up. (I miss Halloween already!)

There is a full size mirror for me to gaze into.
It's also great for working on my dance moves!
Well, here's to you folks!
I gotta play!

This Old House

I am helping Dad with our newest remodelling project.

We are moving the laundry to the first floor of Lodgecliffe.

Here I am busting out some old tile.

Here I am trying again to bust out some old tile.

Boxes of Cake!

This is our new kitty, Miss Valencia.
I call her 'Boxes of Cake' because she looks like many different cake mixes all put together.
She is a really good kitty and I play with her a lot.

I'm A Crazy Monkey!!!

A lot of preperation goes into getting ready for Halloween.
Pumpkin guts have to be scooped and jack-o-lanterns carved.
The mood has to be set.
(I chose skeleton goblet, skull and boingy pumpkin headband.)
I also worked on my humorous skills.
Here I am giving Kai some comedic pointers.
On Thursday night, we gave our costumes a trial run.
We made some new friends at Chesapeake Woods
(an assisted living facility here in Cambridge).
This wise lady was dressed as a Giraffe!
This is me and my friend Abby from preschool.
(She was trick or treating there, too!)
***
On Halloween we were ready!
Before we went on our rounds of the neighborhood, we played chase in the front yard.
(Here I am trying to steal Kai's banana!)
Off we go!
Look at this spooky hand!
It's a good thing I already knew about skulls; this one was creepy!
I taught Kai all about Halloween, like how to say 'Trick or Treat' and 'Happy Halloween!'
(He already has 'Thank you!' down.)
I was so brave on Friday night, I even ventured into this haunted pirate ship.

I hope that you all had a great holiday!
Happy Halloween, everyone!!!!
