Well folks, it's that time again. Time for a Maxon progress report!
I am fourteen months old today! Can you believe it?
I have been so busy growing and changing, that it's hard to remember to reflect on all of the wonderful things I can do now!

I am always running around these days; climbing and tumbling and trying to jump. I wear myself right out. Sometimes I just get so out of breath and exhausted I fall right over. I actually have bruises on my little shins!

I finally got my eighth tooth! It wasn't were anyone was expecting... it was a molar. I still haven't gotten my eye teeth, or my fourth front bottom tooth, so no-one was looking for a grinder. (Number 9 is coming soon.)

My favorite foods are; mandarin oranges, oatmeal, green beans, and graham crackers.

I have learned to give real kisses. (Complete with the puckered-up 'smack' sound!) I love to kiss everything, especially pictures in my books. If you come to visit, maybe I will give you a kiss too!

I have been keeping up with learning my second language. I now know 27 ASL signs. I can tell Mom and Dad what I want.

I am also talking more and more. I am trying to say most of the words that I sign. Everybody really loves when I say "Buddy!" and "Howdy!"

I have learned some manners too. I just figured out that if you say "Please" when you want something, you are more likely to get it. (It sounds more like "peas" when I say it.) Of course I sign the word too, just to be sure. I am sharing now, too. I like to share with my buddies, Mom and Dad, Grandma W., and even the picture of my friend Adeline.

I am thinking about the potty now. I can sign and say "potty" and I even have my own little seat. (It fits right on the big potty!) I still haven't "Hit the Target", but I'm working on it. We're taking it nice and slow.

I have learned how to stack blocks together, not just knock them down. I have been having lots of fun working on my little kid legos. Every so often, I actually put my toys away too!
***
Sometimes, I like to carry a purse. (Hey, don't judge!)
***
I am honing my musical skills. (You may remember my previous forays into the harmonica and guitar.) I now have my own drum set and a recorder too. Stairway to Heaven, anyone?
***
I have also finally chosen my security object. It's not a blankie, or a binkie, or a teddy. It's my buddy! (Actually there are three buddies that are interchangable; hippo, bunny, and lamby.) They came as a set of stackable stuffed animals. I just love to chew on their legs and fiddle their ears! I don't need it all the time, but we never leave home without one!
***
My mechanical brain is working well. Dad said he has to be careful with what he does around me now. I am learning things fast! I can zip and unzip, almost open the door and can screw on a bottle cap (I'm working on the opposite)!
***
Well, that's it folks. I have shared the details of my fourteen month old life with you.
Have a great day!

Holy cow! It is hard to believe it's been fourteen months already! You're sure doing a whole bunch more things than you did the first couple months. I'm sure your folks are enjoying your progress too. You're pretty awesome to be learning ASL right along with each new word you speak. That is amazing! Of course you're from some pretty amazing parents, right?
I can just imagine you getting so tired you fall right over.... it makes me laugh. Thank you, I needed that. hugs, Pegi
