"X O - Giada!"

I went to Borders Books in downtown Minneapolis on Friday to meet a famous chef.

(We waited in line for two hours!)

Maybe you have seen her on the Food Network.

She has her own shows "Everyday Italian" "Behind the Bash"

and "Giada's Weekend Getaways".

Yes, ladies and gentleman, I had the priviledge to meet Giada De Laurentiis.

She signed a copy of her newest book, Everyday Pasta for me.

(I LOVE NOODLES!)

She took about twice as long talking with me and Dad as she did with the other hundreds of people in line.

She was a really nice lady and I liked talking to her.

Is There A Doctor In The House?

I love to read Dr. Seuss with my friend Hippopotamus.

I told Mom that I think that 'Dr. Seuss loves me',

because he wrote such great books.

My current favorite is The Sneetches.

( I have most of it memorized.

I finish the sentences and pages for Mom when she reads it to me.)

Today I learned the Art of the Oreo cookie.

I learned that there are basically two schools of thought regarding how to eat one:

1.) The twist.

Separate the cookie, eat the filling, put the two halves back together and finish.

Mmmm, Crunchy!

2. The Dunk.

Completely submerse the entire cookie until it is soft, then eat.

I think that more testing is necessary

before I make a final decision about which method I prefer!
