Happy Holidays! (a little late)

We went to BWI to welcome Grandma W to Maryland for 'Christmas 2009'.
(Kai and I get a little silly at airports.)
On Christmas Eve, we made cookies.
We spent a lot of time decorating them just like the pros!
We picked out our favorites to leave for Santa Claus.
(We also left him the pickle ornament to hide and a glass of soy nog.)
We were so excited to come down the stairs on Christmas morning to see...
the presents, and...
the evidence that Santa left behind.
Those are the legs of a cookie on the front porch!
(Mom was not too happy about the crumbs all over, either!)
I was super happy to discover that Santa put more than just coal in my stocking!
After breakfast, we hunted for the pickle and I found it!
I had lots of fun handing out (and opening!) gifts.
Grandma really like the locket that we gave her!
After a day full of playing with toys, we went out for our traditional Chinese Christmas Dinner!
(Grandma was really good at using the chopsticks!)
We ended our Christmas night with a visit to the train garden.
It was a really great Christmas!

Drivin' Some Vittles

Our school had a food drive and we brought in TONS of items!
While beaten out by some highly motivated third graders, us Pre-K kids made a valliant second place showing!
The important thing is lots of food on those pantry shelves!

Da Da Da Daaaaaa!

It's SssssuuuuuperMax!
The world has a new super hero.
Ready to handle those really tough rescues,
SuperMax flies into action!
Watching out for his little gnome brother,
SuperMax brings justice to a creepy Halloween party.
While not actually a damsel in distress, Cinderella did need a little Super hug. (But no actual rescuing occured.)
Sensing trouble, Supermax climbs to the rescue of one of little bo peep's sheep.
Since she wasn't actually lost, Supermax seeks his next heroic adventure...
Trick or Treating!
Finally, an actual rescue takes place as SuperMax recovers spilled candy.
With his true identity revealed, Max enjoys the night's bounty!

Knit One...

I am working hard on my knitting skills.
While I wanted to make a baby sweater, 'aunt' Fran though it best to just work on a simple scarf.
I'll let you know if I finish it!

Bend It Like...

Beckham!
(That's my foot about to connect with the ball.)
I started playing soccer at the YMCA.
(Here Dad is helping me get ready with my shin guards, cleats and gear.)
This is my team, The Wizards, at our first practice.
Here I am, keeping my eye on the ball, at our first game.
Want to know what my two favorite things about games are?
1. Slapping hands and saying 'Good Job!' to the other team.
2. Post-game snacks!

I Wanna Be Gene Kelly!

Let the stormy clouds chase everyone from the place.
Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face.
I walk down the lane, with a happy refrain, just singin' and dancin' in the rain!
